Daisy

2009_daisy2
When we got Daisy we soon learned that Jack Russell is not just a breed, it is an attitude. Not everyone can appreciate the free spirit of a Jack. Daisy can bounce off the walls with the best of them, but she also likes to snuggle up in your bed with or without you.

Mia & Max

Mia MajesticpuppyMax Dec 2007
Mia & Max have been coming to Gardner Animal Hospital since I have had them. They love Dr. V  and Sherri.
Mia will be 2  yrs old end of October. She is very tiny and weighs 3 lbs. Mia is very prissy and picky about everything.
Max is Mia's baby brother, even though he is twice her size.  Max weighs 7.5 lbs.  He just turned a year old in May.  Max loves to give kisses and sit in your lap. They have the same mom & dad.

Charlie

110507.charlie
This little bundle of joy is Charlie! He is a mix of who-knows-what  and often resembles a tiger with his cute little stripes. I adopted  him from the Gardner Animal Hospital a couple of months ago and we  have developed an inseparable bond ever since! He loves going for  walks through the plaza (we live in kcmo) and running around with  sticks in his mouth. He loves other dogs...he usually just walks  right up and licks them! He is pretty timid around other people  (especially men) but is a true sweetheart once he gets to know  someone. A few of his nicknames are Charlie Brown-head, sparkles,  Charlie-bear, and Chuck.

Mollie and Maggie

Mollie-Maggie-May
Mollie and Maggie are miniature Beagles we got in December 2006. They can be a handful at times, but are very entertaining and so darn cute!!! We sure love them, and they love each other, like all sisters from time to time get a bit snippy with each other. They are 7 months old now.

Molly

Molly is three years old and is a blast. She loves to play and is a member of the family.
She is our bed warmer in the winter.

Captain, Colonel, Cujo, and Zeus

captaincolonel
cujozues
Captain and Colonel were our first pets. We picked them up as little kittens from a local shelter. Colonel is the orange haired cat and Captain is the Maine Coon. They were too cute together playing and sleeping.

Our third pet was our Italian Greyhound named Cujo. We got her from a breeder at 8 weeks old and sniffing 2lbs. She is the fast thing on four legs and the runt of the litter. She is 7 ½ lbs of love and kisses. She loves to play with Colonel and snuggle under the blankets. When she goes out for her daily walks she knows no stranger.

Zeus is our fourth pet. We got Zeus through a friend a year ago. He is a 9 year old Boston terrier. Aka… Uncle Zeus to Cujo. He too loves to play with Cujo and spend his time sunning himself. He is protective of Cujo and his yard.

Blackjack, Smudge, Rocky & Ranger

ThePrinceSmudge
RockyRanger
Our first born Blackjack, was abandoned at a wee black bit of fluff. He is the vain one, we call him The Prince. Look at me aren't I beautiful? Don't I have the best shinny coat around?

Our second born Smudge, had a black smudge on his head but he grew out of it and is solid white from nose to tail. He was found by a friend and given to us to heal. He was terribly abused and beaten when we got him and he became a Mommy's cat right from the start. He is still skittish after 6 years, but loved and pampered, and believe it or not, the Alpha cat of our family.

Rocky, came to us from a shelter, he was so sick he couldn't even come home for a week, so we went to him every day and finally got to bring him home. He’s a daddy’s boy from end to end and the great yellow hunter of the group. We have seen him get a bird out of thin air when one got in the house once.

Ranger, was chosen from a pet store as a buddy for Rocky, that worked out great. This way Rocky leaves the old guys alone and has someone to romp around with and chase through the house. He is the most lovable cat I have ever seen he loves to sit on your shoulder and get lots of rubs on his chin.

Hailey, Lizzy and Chloe

guiltyhaileyLizzyprettychloe
This is Hailey, Lizzy and Chloe. Hailey was adopted at Gardner Animal Hospital. Hailey is a Heeler mixed puppy. She is now 5 months old and lives with Lizzy and Chloe. Lizzy (DSH) came to live with her family from a farm in Iowa last year, and Chloe (Bengal) is a rescued cat that was dumped out of a car and has just joined the family. We are all still working on getting along like nice well behaved girls.

Doggie Daycare

pawprints

Doggie daycare provides a great outlet for all your dog’s energy. While you spend the day at work, your dog will have the day to play. At the end of each day, you both can go home and curl up on the couch together.

In addition, daycare provides important exercise and socialization that your dog might not otherwise receive. This can be valuable when dealing with behavioral problems or destructive behavior.

Our daycare program consists of supervised only playgroups. Playgroups are established based on size and energy levels. Our playgroup size never exceeds an 8:1 ratio, that gives our staff the ability to interact with each guests and pay special attention to playgroup activities.

Lilly Beth

lilly1lilly4
Lilly belongs to the webmaster of GAH. She demands a lot of attention and she gets it. Yeah, she's spoiled rotten!  She gives so much love and brings great happiness to me and her mom. We don't need a doorbell - that's her job. She's a true lap dog - she loves to be held and cuddled - in fact she's in my lap now as I update this webpage. Our 2 Siamese cats are much bigger than her, but Lilly rules over them. Lilly got very sick a little over a year ago and we nearly lost her. It was very stressful on us to see her that way, but Dr. Mertz and the staff at GAH pulled her through! She is been bright eyed ever since!

Boxer Bob

boxerbob
We recently adopted Boxer Bob from a friend of a work acquaintance. His previous owners had too many critters and were looking to "down size" on their menagerie. Bob is a little over a year old and took to our family immediately. He has a wonderful temperment and has been a joy. Our children are crazy about him and so are we.

Emmy Sue

emmyjan06emmysuejan06
Emmy Sue was born on May 4, 2005 and is just a dream come true for our family. Her hobbies are traveling with her family, taking walks, playing fetch, chewing rawhides, running after kids. She adores people and her all time favorite is a good belly rubbed. Since Emmy likes to rip up paper her favorite holiday is Christmas. Emmy Sue loves the staff at GAH, she is always excited to see everyone. Keep up the great work!

Fritz and Zoë

Fritz_ZoeFritzandZoe
Fritz and Zoë have been going to the Gardner Animal Hospital since they were puppies. The first picture is of Zoë by herself. The next two pictures are of them together after playing in the snow. Fritz and Zoë love to wrestle and have been doing so since the first day that I brought Zoë home. As a result she can hold her own despite her small size. They also love chasing squirrels in the backyard. Besides squirrels their favorite things to "attack" are Beanie Babies. Fritz can perform several tricks and will do anything for a tasty treat. Zoë just recently turned 2 years old and Fritz is about 6 months older. As the pictures suggest they are virtually inseparable.

Winston

winston01winston03
Winston was adopted on  December 10th, 2002  .  He immediately made our house into his and ever so graciously agreed to let us stay there too!  He loves to play inside and outside with his ball and his “stinky bear”.  He also makes sure we don’t have any animal trespassers in our backyard. Winston also loves sleep time too and is quite the bed-hog.

Brodie

brodiebrodie2
Brodie just loves everyone at GAH!  He has been friends with everyone there since he first visited when he was 6 weeks old.  Brodie is an avid fetch-player, and tail chaser.  He loves his pink stuffed pig- and will get very angry with you if you hide it from him.  He is a very happy boy and loves everyone he meets!
