Strays and Pet Adoption

Gardner Animal Hospital works in conjunction with Gardner Public Safety to provide a facility for stray animals. If you find a stray animal within Gardner city limits, you must first contact Gardner Public Safety @ 856-7312, and they will pick up the animal(s) and bring it to us. Animals not claimed within 4 working days are evaluated for potential adoption. We generally always have animals that need caring and loving homes. Our adoption fee is $150 for both cats and dogs and includes: a thorough examination by one of our doctors, testing and treatment (if necessary) for internal parasites and fleas, heartworm testing for dogs, leukemia/FIV testing for cats, rabies and distemper vaccinations, bordetella (kennel cough) for dogs and all animals will be spayed or neutered before leaving for their new home.
